Luscious Chocolate Cake

Serves- 2-4 people       |   Prep Time – 3/4 mins      |       Cook time (wedges) – 30 mins

Ingredients: (Dry)

  • 1 1/2 Cups flour ( I used gluten free rice flour)
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa (unsweetened)
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp.  salt
  • 1 Cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp. white vinegar
  • 1 tsp.  pure vanilla extract
  • 5 Tbsp. coconut oil
  • 1 Cup water

Directions – :

  • Mix first 4 dry ingredients in a pan.  Make 3 holes in dry ingredients – two small, one larger. Pour vinegar in one hole, vanilla in the other and the coconut oil in third larger depression. Pour water over all. Mix well until smooth.
  • Bake on middle rack of oven for 35 minutes, at 350 degrees F.

When you take it out, it will be soft (and delicious!). I topped it with chocolate sauce.

Chocolate Sauce Ingredients:

  • Cacao Powder – 1 Tbsp
  • Maple Syrup – quarter cup
  • Cacao Butter – 1-2 Tbsp
